Matter Expert-Peer Profiling - FEC Transaction Monitoring
Within Transaction Monitoring we are executing transformational change to become best in class.
As part of our change journey, we’re looking for a Subject Matter Expert to support the
implementation of new Peer Profiling within Transaction Monitoring. Peer Profiling is collecting
data based on the observed transaction based behaviours of customers, and classifying peers into
groups. The SME will help to define the strategic use of the new Peer Profiling within TM,
participate in the design and ultimately contribute to the achievement of the remediation plan.
You and your job
Design, prepare and develop strategic decisions so that the organization is equipped to make the best decisions for the bank and society. Provide recommendations, direction and guidance on topics such as customer data points, definitions of peer groups and application of the Peer Profiling within the Transaction Monitoring domain. During the design and implementation phase, you will sharpen business requirements, resolve blockers and maximise benefits realisation. Make a difference by making sure we as a bank ‘do the right thing’.
Practical Examples
• Facilitate cross-team initiatives (e.g. with CDD), encourage sharing of best practice;
• Engage closely with Change Management and FEC Tech, providing SME support when relevant;
• Engage with analytics teams to review TM rule/scenario thresholds for the individual profile
groups;
• Collaborate with TM rule/scenario design teams to determine when to use Peer Profiling;
• Mature options and carry out impact assessments;
• Identify potential risks and provide mitigations/solutions.

• Contribute to clear requirements documentation for solution design and ongoing maintenance once
productionised;
• Contribute to design decisions in collaboration with FEC Tech, Scenario Design and Change
Management;
• Identify implementation risks provide recommendations for mitigation;
• Share industry gained experience and knowledge of relevant regulations;
• Use data driven analysis for decision making;
• Apply a risk based approach and pragmatism;
• Investigate market developments, technological developments, and customer interaction channels
in order to be able to produce internal and external analysis.
