Change manager-(organisational) 2GW program

Change manager-(organisational) 2GW program

As Large Project Offshore department, we are contributing to an unprecedented transformation in the
energy sector. This means scaling up the offshore capacity by realizing multiple 2GW grid connection systems,
in a relatively short amount of time. A dedicated 2GW Program was set up to facilitate it. To pull
this off, the usual way of working within the life cycle of these projects and systems needed to be
changed. It was decided that the Systems Engineering (SE) approach would enable us to achieve our
goals. This approach influences and even drives working within the project teams, the departments
involved, stakeholders' coordination, and cooperating with the market. SE requires a new way of
thinking including the adoption of new routines, attitude and behavior.
Together with SE, other related changes are implemented within the 2GW Program: data-based instead
of document based working, use of FIDIC Silverbook including more responsibility for the Contractors, creating
partnerships with framework agreements and applying Systematic Contract Control for contract
management which focusses on the quality management of the Contractors. Furthermore, the
collaboration between TenneT and the contractors changes.
In order to drive, support and internalize these changes, we are currently looking for an
(organizational) change manager.

The Change Manager is the project manager of this change process. She or he will be guiding the
complete change process and be a part of the 2GW Program. This ensures the change manager can
develop the right changes from the complete and overall view of the 2GW projects and all parties
involved. The change manager needs to see what and how everyone is involved and what the new SE.way
of working involves for their current routines. The change manager ensures progress and is also
available as a safe haven for those employees who are less likely to embrace the new way of working.
Attention is therefore paid to soft skills, hesitations and concerns.
Now it’s time to describe the change management approach and get the change process started. It
needs to create the right sense of urgency, to pay and get attention for the cultural and
behavioural topics and to get the SE way of thinking and working internalised within the teams.

Tasks will include:
•	Support program management with change management advise and implementation;
•	Co-create an adjusted approach on the collaboration between parties - where each party
        knows and acts from their responsibilities - for the contract execution phase;
•	Setup a new training for the adjusted collaboration between parties from a change
        management perspective, ensuring understanding and adoption of the adjusted way of working
        together;
•	Review and enrich the current training programs in regard to pay more attention to soft
        skills and adoption of SE;
•	Contribute to the development of new continuous improvement programs from a change
        management perspective;
•	You will functionally report to the 2GW Program Manager, and hierarchically to the Lead
        Information Management PMO - Large Projects Offshore.

Who are you?
•	Advanced HBO+ or academic degree and intellectual capacity;
•	At least 10 years of experience as a change management advisor;
•	Knowledge of capital (infrastructure) projects, organizations, and processes is preferred;
•	Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate activities
        effectively;
•	Demonstrated initiative, analytical abilities, organizational sensitivity, and balanced
        judgment;
•	Collaborative approach, ability to positively influence others and bring people together;
•	Quick learner and ability to understand new topics;
•	Intrinsically motivated with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment;
•	Fluent in English, both verbal and written. Dutch or German language proficiency is a plus.

Conditions:
• At entry, TenneT performs a Pre-Employment Screening;
• Scale 8 (collective labour agreement TenneT TSO);
• Duty station for this position is Arnhem (Rijnpoort) and Hannover (Germany) / hybrid working
  (not remote!). The focus will be 60/70% working from Arnhem and as when required working at the
  office in Hannover.
