Project Lead-Project Management
Large Projects Offshore (LPO):
Based on the Energy agreement, where the targets and intentions for the transition to a more
renewable energy supply are set, the Roadmap Offshore wind energy 2030 and the ambition to realise
additional windcapacity prior to 2030 a roll-out strategy is being prepared for the medium term,
including the IJmuiden Ver (DC) projects. This results in a commitment for TenneT to realise at
least 2x (with potential up to 5) 2GW HVDC Grid Connection Systems which bring the power from
offshore wind-farms in the North sea to the Dutch electricity grid to be commissioned between
2028 - 2030.
Project DolWin5:
In the DolWin5 project, TenneT is installing an offshore grid connection system in the North Sea
with a capacity of 900 MW using extra-high voltage direct current transmission technology.
Role:
The Project Manager Project Management for the DolWin5 project is responsible for the implementation
and assurance of compliance with company-wide project management standards. Furthermore, he is
responsible for the implementation of the agreed standards with our subcontractors in the project.
The Project Manager Project Management works closely with the DolWin5 project management team as
well as with the PMO team of the project and ensures the exchange with the company-wide LPO-PMO
team. The candidate acts as the main point of contact for our internal and external stakeholders
and is responsible for the functional leadership of the project management team. In the role,
He/She reports to the Project Director and to the Financial Project Director of the project.
Tasks:
• Functional leadership and coordination of the project management team and associated tasks;
• Control of the interfaces between the project management and the technical areas of the project;
• Ensure efficient schedule monitoring and tracking of interfaces within the project as well as with
our external partners;
• Implementation and further development of project control and progress measurement tools;
• Monitoring and enforcement of relevant contract annexes;
• Interface with LPO-PMO and other areas of the company outside the project organization incl. the
implementation and execution of TenneT project management standards;
• Responsible for continuous knowledge exchange and transfer from and to other projects;
• Implementation of project management tools in collaboration with LPO-PMO to increase internal
project efficiency;
• Leading and supporting negotiations within the scope of the role;
• Support of the Management and further development of the project manual;
• Coordination and further development of internal project processes;
• Carrying out special tasks of the project management.
Profile:
• You have a successfully completed university degree in a technical, technical/economic or
information technology field of study;
• You have relevant professional experience in large-scale projects in the power transmission
grid industry (preferably technical) and project-related work processes;
• You have an internationally recognized project management certificate (e.g. IPMA Level D);
• You are proficient in the use of common MS Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.);
• You are characterized by a high level of social competence and communication skills coupled with
organizational skills and initiative;
• Good command German and English (business fluent) is no problem for you;
• You have a class B driver's license and are willing to travel, also within the European
environment.
